Ambleside Park can be reached by car in five minutes, and is home to tennis courts, swimming facilities and a golf course, in addition to exciting community events, including the Canada Day celebrations and Harmony Arts Festival. Ambleside Beach also offers jogging trails, sailing facilities and picnic tables, as well as fishing at Ambleside Pier. Adjacent to West Vancouver Secondary is the Kay Meek Centre for the Performing Arts, a multi-use cultural centre with two stages that offer a variety of musicals and plays for all ages. Elementary schools in the area include Irwin Park Elementary, Ecole Pauline Johnson Elementary and Ridgeview Elementary.
The majority of Queens residents drive, since it’s easier and faster to get around by car, although you can find everything you need within a five minute radius. Regular buses also serve the area, and residents can also easily take the bus to the ferry at Horseshoe Bay.
